Have a doula come in for a few hours when you need a break. They can snuggle baby so you can sleep in. They can make you breakfast or help you with your evening routine, particularly if you have older kids and need that extra expert help. A doula will also assist you at your doctors’ appointments or let you rest during the day so you can do some chores around the house. 

A doula is an expert in mothering the mother and taking extra great care of your little one, happy along the way to answer any of your questions.

A Drop-in-Doula is perfect for the family who every once in a while needs that special care.

Tuck-You-In!

It’s a magical night for all!

This package is designed to allow you to get a good night’s rest. We all know that having a newborn requires round-the-clock commitment. You’re either feeding, cuddling, diapering, or shushing baby back to sleep. Why not take a night off and have someone else take over? This night is designed for you, the parents, to get the uninterrupted sleep you deserve. Allow a trained and experienced team member to come in and give you the gift of a good nights sleep. They’ll come in, feed baby as needed, change them, burp them, cuddle them, and put them back to sleep. All this is possible for a breastfeeding mother as well, as our caregiver can bring baby to you. After you nurse them, our caregiver does the rest.

Breastfeeding Consultations!

There’s so much information today about the amazing benefits and advantages of breast milk for babies, yet the process of breast feeding is seldom easy. Getting a good latch, breast milk supply, and rhythm is no easy task. In fact, it can take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to establish a good, solid breastfeeding bond. There are many factors that can go into this, among them your baby’s type of delivery and your and your baby’s physical make-up. 

Here at Gentle Giraffes we like our clients to consult with our resident IBCLC the first week they’re home from the hospital so both mother and baby can get off to an amazing start.

Gentle Giraffes'  can help you think through all these questions according to both personal preferences and what might work best for baby.

Gentle Giraffes has the knowledge and experience to know how and why placing the crib on a certain wall is best or where to hang the mobile so its a fun toy to play with, or how some nursing chair's are more supportive than others, to organizing the dressers and closets all before you little one arrives.
