Kimberly Jarest , IBCLC

Kimberly is a board-certified lactation consultant, IBCLC and owner of Embracing Lactation LLC. As a private practice IBCLC, Kimberly serves families with breastfeeding/infant feeding concerns in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire in person and virtually on a national level. 

Her dedication to lactation and infant feeding comes from breastfeeding her four boys, each having their own struggles. With her second, he had a lip and tongue tie that was released at 2 years old due to eating and swallowing issues. The release resolved those issues almost overnight. Her third son experienced severe reflux and reoccurring ear infections. These experiences drove Kimberly to research and self-study to figure out how to best support them and ultimately leading her to becoming an IBCLC. 

Kimberly specializes in exclusively pumping, breast pump education, milk output concerns while pumping, and milk donation. Her extensive knowledge comes from her own experience as a gestational surrogate in 2019. She carried a baby girl for a local family and pumped for the surrogate baby and local families. She donated over 10,000 ounces of breastmilk in roughly 18 months. Some of that milk was donated to a milk bank that supplied milk to micro preemies. Their donation process was very extensive. The whole process was very complicated but very rewarding. 

She supports every avenue of breastfeeding and infant feeding and believes all families should have access to lactation support and shouldn’t feel inadequate due to their feeding choices. 

In her free time, she likes to spend time outside with her and her husband’s four boys enjoying their beautiful property. She loves a good true crime story and a late-night horror movie. She will never pass up a gathering of friends and family for a campfire and her favorite place to be is at the beach!
